Benny the Hero 7
Written By: Basak Serin
Benny Introduction
Benny the cat is a hero. He rescues those who are in danger. He
is a smart, short-tempered, alert, and brave cat. He is a gray
tabby cat with green eyes. He is medium-sized. He wears a blue
collar. Benny resides in the city of Locktown.
Benny is a superhero during the day and a part-time math tutor
during the evening hours.
He wears an electric blue cape with the letter “B” written on it in
yellow font. The letter also has a yellow lightning bolt on it.
Benny resides in a small apartment by himself. The cool part
about Benny’s hero job is that when he wears his superhero
cape, he gains superhero powers.
Pizza Rescue
Benny is in the kitchen and gets a call from a cat named
Teddy. He owns a pizza shop. It’s called “Pizza Time”.
Benny’s phone rings. Benny is in his living room.
Benny: Hello? Benny speaking.
Teddy: Benny! I’m Teddy the cat, the owner of a pizza
restaurant. I need some help! There are a lot of customers
today that we need to cater for, and there aren’t enough
employees! It’s just me! So rush down here and help?
Benny: Okay.
Benny walked out the door, and his cousin Cheddar
suddenly appeared. Benny gasped.
Cheddar, the cat, is Benny’s cousin. He is a chubby,
orange-tabby cat with green eyes. He loves to eat. He
wears a yellow bow tie. He looks up to his older cousin,
Benny. Cheddar is nice, kind, funny, and loyal.
Cheddar is Benny’s neighbor, too.
Benny: What are you doing here, Cheddar?!
Cheddar: Benny! Well, I heard pizza, so why not I hop
onboard?
Benny: (Sighs). Fine, you can come with me.
Cheddar: Sweet!!
Benny and Cousin Cheddar are off to the pizza restaurant
to help the owner with his workload.
Benny and Cheddar arrived at the pizza restaurant. They
see for themselves that the restaurant is packed with
customers whose orders are late.
Teddy: Finally! Benny, you are here!
Teddy takes a look at Cheddar.
Teddy: Uh, who’s the orange cat?
Benny: Oh, that’s just my cousin Cheddar! He is helping
us today! Say hi, Cheddar.
Cheddar: Hello! I love pizza!
Teddy: I see.
Teddy is a dark brown male cat with dark brown eyes. He
wears a dark green bow tie. He is a serious cat with a
short temper.
Teddy: Okay! The first job is to make the pizza and cook
it according to the customer’s order. Got it?
Benny: Okay.
Teddy saw that Cheddar was eating the crackers on the
table that were set for the customers.
Teddy: Hey! Quit it!
Cheddar stopped eating the crackers, and he and Benny
got to work.
Teddy: Okay, Cheddar. Start by rolling out the pre-made
dough. Please.
Teddy closed his eyes.
Teddy: Now, we have to-
Teddy is shocked to see that the uncooked pizza dough is
gone.
Teddy: Cheddar? Where is the pizza dough?
Cheddar: I ate it.
Teddy screams.
Teddy: Are you aware of how unhealthy that is?
Cheddar shrugged his shoulders.
Cheddar: It tasted good.
Teddy: Ugh! Thanks a lot!
Benny: Cheddar, you are no help. Thanks for nothing.
Some of the customers started to leave.
Teddy: Oh no! They’re leaving!
Benny: If you need additional help, then hire more
employees!
Teddy: I can’t do that!
Cheddar: And why not?
Teddy: Because of my short temper and because I’m kind
of cheap.
Teddy chuckled.
Cheddar and Benny stared at each other. They cooked
some pizzas; however, it was not good.
Benny overcooked the pizzas while Cheddar ate the
ingredients.
Teddy: Benny! What happened? Why does the kitchen
smell like smoke?
Benny: Oh! I accidentally overcooked the pizza! My bad!
I am not a very good cook.
Benny showed Teddy the overcooked, burnt pizza that he
just pulled out of the oven. Benny chuckled. Teddy
grunted in anger.
Teddy: No! And how about you, Cheddar? Make matters
any worse?
Cheddar: I guess you can say that! These cookies taste
good!
Teddy: Okay? Wait…I don’t sell cookies!
Teddy gasped.
Teddy: You took those cookies out of my lunchbox?!
Cheddar: Uh, yeah? They were yours? My bad.
Teddy is very angry right now. His face turned red, and he
grunted loudly.
Teddy: You both made today harder than it needed to be!
No help is better than your help!
Cheddar: But—
Teddy: Shut up! I am better off cooking these pizzas alone
than with the help of you two!
Benny: We’re sorry!
Teddy: No! Get out!
Cheddar: So much for free pizza.
So Benny and Cheddar left the pizza place and went
home.
Benny’s Fan Mail Questions
Benny received a lot of mail from his fans again. He will
record a video about it. He gets ready to record the video
with his camera and begins to read his fan mail.
Benny: Fan mail again! Who’s ready?
He reads the first letter.
Benny: Ocean, the cat, writes, “Do you like parties?”. Uh,
no! Parties are loud and annoying!
Benny: Okay! Who’s next? Velma! Velma, the cat, asks,
“What’s your favorite genre of music?”. Ambient, trap
metal, and drone!
Benny: Arthur? Oh, wow! Arthur, the cat, writes, “What’s
your favorite shade of purple?”. Lavender and dark
purple.
Benny: Marco, the cat, asks, “Do you like the color pink?
If so, what shade of pink do you like the most?”. I like
dark pink.
Benny: Mario, the cat, asks, “Do you have any
superpower secrets to share with us, Benny?”. Okay! I
can turn invisible and see through walls with my special
heat vision power, of course!
Benny: Flash, my talking car, writes, “When will your
fear of driving be gone already?!”. I don’t know.
Benny nervously chuckled.
Benny: Okay! River, the cat, asks, “Any quotes?”. Yeah. I
hope my enemies never get what they want.
Benny: Buttons, the cat, asks, “What are your favorite
crackers?”. Saltine crackers.
Benny: Dawn, the cat, writes, “What’s your favorite type
of milk?”. Almond milk.
Benny: That’s everything. I love my fans!
Benny stopped recording the video and posted it online.

on his double life as a superhero and tutor.

Once the animals of Locktown enter the mall, they can’t
