Introduction Benny the cat is a hero. He rescues those who are in danger and those who simply need assistance. He is a smart, short-tempered, alert, and brave cat. He is a gray tabby cat with green eyes. He is medium-sized. Benny resides in the city of Locktown. Benny resides in a small apartment by himself. Benny is a superhero during the day and a part-time math tutor during the evening hours. He wears a teal bow tie when he isn’t wearing his superhero bow tie. Benny used to wear a superhero cape, but now his outfit is upgraded to a navy-colored bow tie. When he wears his superhero bow tie, he gains superhero powers!
Story #1 Benny decides to eat vegan meals. So, he visits his local library to get vegan cookbooks! Story #2 Benny donates food to the local food banks. He also baked some brownies and donated them to a local food bank. He also donates bottles of lemonade and orange juice to a local food bank. Story #3 Benny gives some flowers to the elders at the local senior citizen’s home. Story #4 Benny donates musical instruments to a local music school. Story #5 Benny is walking through Locktown Park when he notices trash on the ground.
Benny: This park should be clean! Benny puts on his superhero bow tie and starts picking up the trash. He also helps recycle bottles, paper, and cans. Some citizens see Benny helping. Citizen: Thank you, Benny! You are making our park better. Benny: Everyone can help keep the community clean! Story #6 Benny sits at his desk in his home and practices math. He solves addition problems: 5 + 3 = 8 10 + 7 = 17
He solves subtraction problems: 12 - 4 = 8 20 - 9 = 11 He practices multiplication: 3 × 4 = 12 6 × 5 = 30 He practices division: 20 ÷ 4 = 5 18 ÷ 3 = 6 Benny writes down the answers and prepares math lessons for his students. Later, Benny helps his students practice these types of problems.
Story #7 Benny wakes up early in the morning. He looks at his alarm clock. Benny: Five more minutes. Benny closes his eyes. A few minutes later, the alarm rang again. Benny quickly sits up. Benny: Okay, I’m awake! Benny gets ready for the day. Story #8 Cheddar decides he wants to exercise like Benny. They are at the gym together.
Cheddar puts on a yellow workout outfit. Cheddar: Today, I will become strong! He tries to do push-ups. One push-up later, Cheddar sits down. Cheddar: I need a snack break. Benny: That was a very short workout. Cheddar: I’m exercising my eating skills too! Benny shakes his head and laughs. Story #9 Darkwave drops some books while walking through the library.
Benny helps him pick them up. Darkwave: I didn’t need help. Benny: I know. I just wanted to help. Darkwave looks at the books. Darkwave: ...Thanks. Benny smiles. Benny: You’re welcome. Darkwave walks away quietly, but he remembers Benny’s kindness.
Story #10 Cheddar’s Snack Contest. Cheddar walks into Benny’s home with a bag of chips. Cheddar: I challenge both of you to a snack contest! Benny: A snack contest? Darkwave: That is the challenge? Cheddar: Yes! The winner eats the most chips. Darkwave: This is the easiest competition ever. A few minutes later, Benny and Darkwave are still eating slowly. Cheddar has already finished his bag. Benny: Cheddar, did you even enjoy the chips?
Cheddar: Yes, I did. It’s my skill! Cheddar, the cat, is Benny’s cousin. He is a chubby, orange-tabby cat with green eyes. He loves to eat. He wears a yellow bow tie. He looks up to his older cousin, Benny. Cheddar is nice, kind, funny, silly, and loyal. Darkwave is a dark brown tabby male cat with dark brown eyes. He wears a dark purple cape and purple gloves. He is an anti-hero.
