Award
Conditions under which Course providing institutions will be awarded
the EIT Label for professionals accreditation for a fixed period of time:
❑ They reply to a call for institutional candidates that want to deliver EIT Label
based professional courses
❑ They can provide hands on training to give them experience in a given specific
field
❑ They can teach ethical aspects of the subject.
❑ They base their teaching on the learning triangles for professionals, i.e.
Technical, Leadership and Strategic foundations
❑ They assure the Objectives of the Learning Impacts will be reached
❑ They satisfy all the quality indicators
❑ The assessment of their candidacy is deemed positive to receive an EIT label for
professionals by a committee of experts
Assessment
Institutions to acquire EIT Label accreditations are assessed against and:
❑ They introduce a satisfactory self-assessment report according to given guidelines
❑ The given quality indicators against the assessment fields provide satisfactory results
❑ EIT pool of experts review the application and the self assessment report
❑ Assessment is completed both by the report of the evaluation team and the EIT
labelling committee as will be specified in the EIT Label for professionals
Renewal
Institutions to renew the EIT Label:
❑ Self-assessment report of the institution is the starting point of the renewal
procedure
❑ Should be re-assessed against the previously set 6 quality indicators
❑ The assessment covers the mandatory, the learning outcomes and impacts and
the after-training indicators
❑ Follow the detailed EIT internal processes for the renewal
Renewal for professionals
Professionals to renew the EIT Label need to:
❑ Show that they have been active in the field of accreditation
❑ Collect a number of CEUs/PDUs/badges as required by the renewal criteria in the
period of activity
❑ Prove that the CEUs/PDUs/badges reflect the required knowledge type learning
triangle
❑ Prove that the overarching impacts are achieved

✓ Select a piloting profile with the required tasks, knowledge and skills
✓ Develop content
✓ Define candidate requirements
✓ Select test delivery platform
✓ Decide on exam format
✓ Create database of test questions and scenario

BDV Skills Accreditation - EIT labels for professionals

  • 2. Context 1. In line with the EIT Label for Academics ▪ With the introduction of its own concepts and principles ▪ With its own processes ▪ Other artifacts 2. With the assumption that most of the certification candidates are experienced and graduates 3. To assess the gap between achieved and intended learning objectives o Learning activities and outcomes to be compared 4. Introduction of Quality indicators against assessment fields

Quality assurance ❑Assessment fields ❑ Mobility, application, selection and admission of students ❑ Rules, regulations and grading ❑ Quantification and qualification of the impacts ❑ Hands-on learning-by-doing, international and cross-organizational mobility ❑ Leadership competency, ALO from the technical view, KICs view on tools, reports on educational activities ❑ Achieved impacts of EIT Label issuer, receiver and the ultimate beneficiary

Award Conditions under which Course providing institutions will be awarded the EIT Label for professionals accreditation for a fixed period of time: ❑ They reply to a call for institutional candidates that want to deliver EIT Label based professional courses ❑ They can provide hands on training to give them experience in a given specific field ❑ They can teach ethical aspects of the subject. ❑ They base their teaching on the learning triangles for professionals, i.e. Technical, Leadership and Strategic foundations ❑ They assure the Objectives of the Learning Impacts will be reached ❑ They satisfy all the quality indicators ❑ The assessment of their candidacy is deemed positive to receive an EIT label for professionals by a committee of experts
  • 11. Assessment Institutions to acquire EIT Label accreditations are assessed against and: ❑ They introduce a satisfactory self-assessment report according to given guidelines ❑ The given quality indicators against the assessment fields provide satisfactory results ❑ EIT pool of experts review the application and the self assessment report ❑ Assessment is completed both by the report of the evaluation team and the EIT labelling committee as will be specified in the EIT Label for professionals
  • 12. Renewal Institutions to renew the EIT Label: ❑ Self-assessment report of the institution is the starting point of the renewal procedure ❑ Should be re-assessed against the previously set 6 quality indicators ❑ The assessment covers the mandatory, the learning outcomes and impacts and the after-training indicators ❑ Follow the detailed EIT internal processes for the renewal
  • 13. Renewal for professionals Professionals to renew the EIT Label need to: ❑ Show that they have been active in the field of accreditation ❑ Collect a number of CEUs/PDUs/badges as required by the renewal criteria in the period of activity ❑ Prove that the CEUs/PDUs/badges reflect the required knowledge type learning triangle ❑ Prove that the overarching impacts are achieved
  • 14. What next ✓ Select a piloting profile with the required tasks, knowledge and skills ✓ Develop content ✓ Define candidate requirements ✓ Select test delivery platform ✓ Decide on exam format ✓ Create database of test questions and scenario
