The study evaluates the impact of different insecticide spray regimes on cowpea yield and financial returns in northern Ghana, finding that three sprays significantly increase grain yield, gross margin, and return to labor compared to one spray. Results indicate that the higher spray regime is statistically more advantageous, reducing the risk of lower yields for smallholder farmers. This research supports scaling-up initiatives under the Africa Rising Phase 2 program to enhance cowpea productivity and promote sustainable farming practices.
