CLEAR DEFINITION OF THE ANNUAL
MEDICAL CHECK-UP FOR EMPLOYEES
PAYMENT
• Provider payment mechanism shall be a Case-based payment wherein
packages for the employee on the coverage of annual medical check-up
is fixed and paid by PhilHealth to the provider
ORGANIZATION
• Incorporation of annual medical check-ups to the occupational safety
and health program of each institution, government or private
• The OSH Committee shall oversee the monitoring of compliance of
their agency or company in the conduct of Annual medical check-up,
along with the compliance of employees
REGULATION
• DOLE shall monitor compliance with the conduct of the annual medical
check-up among office workers.
• Services shall be provided by a primary care provider included in the
Primary care provider Network recognized by DOH and PhilHealth
FINANCING
• Aligning it to the Republic Act 11223
whereby all Filipinos are enrolled in the
National Health Insurance Program
• There should be benefit package
covering the annual medical check-up of
employees
• Additional services outside of the benefit
package of annual check-up shall be
complemented with private insurance, if
available, or paid by the employee
SERVICES FOR OFFICE WORKERS
• Medical consultation including medical history and working condition,
• Assessment of subjective and objective symptoms
• Height, weight, abdominal circumference, vision, hearing,
• Chest X-ray, sputum test,
• Blood pressure,
• Anaemia test (red blood cell, haemoglobin),
• Liver function (GOT, GPT, γ-GTP),
• Blood lipid (HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, blood serum triglyceride),
• Glucose,
• Urinary sugar, urine protein, and
• Electrocardiogram
