5. Step-by-Step Setup: M3U URL Method
1. Open TiviMate -> Select Settings (gear icon) -> Playlists -> Add playlist.
2. Select M3U playlist -> Choose URL option.
3. Type your full M3U URL provided by your service (e.g. http://provider.com:8080/get.php?... ).
4. Click Next -> Wait for Processing screen to load channels and categories.
5. If provided separately, click Include TV guide and enter XMLTV EPG URL.
6. Enter a descriptive Playlist Name -> Click Done to populate the TV guide grid.
Remote Keyboard Tip: Use the Fire TV Remote App or Google TV Remote App on your smartphone to copy and paste long M3U URLs directly into TiviMate without
remote typing errors.

CONFIGURATION
6. Step-by-Step Setup: Local M3U File Import
When to Use Local M3U Files:
If your provider supplies a downloadable .m3u or .m3u8 text file
instead of an HTTP URL.
Import Procedure:
1. Save the file to your device internal /Download/ folder.
2. In TiviMate: Settings > Playlists > Add playlist > M3U playlist.
3. Toggle input from URL to Local file -> Click Browse.
4. Select the file -> Click Next -> Assign Name -> Click Done.
Android 11+ / Fire OS 8 Scoped Storage
Restriction
If the file picker shows empty folders:
Ensure the file is inside /sdcard/Download/
Grant storage permission under Android Settings > Apps >
Special app access > All files access > TiviMate.
Alternative: Host the .m3u file on your local network (SMB
share) and import via smb:// link.

TV GUIDE SETUP
8. EPG (TV Guide) Integration & Manual Channel Mapping
XMLTV EPG Source Linking:
1. Go to Settings > EPG > EPG sources > Add source > Enter
XMLTV URL.
2. Settings > Playlists > [Playlist] > EPG sources -> Toggle source
ON.
How Matching Works:
TiviMate matches M3U tvg-id tags with XMLTV <channel
id="..."> tags. String mismatch causes 'No Information' to
display.
Manual EPG Assignment & Time Offset Calibration
Manual Channel Pairing: Highlight unmapped channel in guide -> Long-press Select button -> Assign EPG -> Search & pair channel.
EPG Time Offset Fix: If program guide shows 2 hours off: Settings > EPG > EPG sources > [Source] > Time offset (adjust in 30-min steps).
Update Frequency: Set interval to 12 or 24 hours. Avoid 2-hour updates on Firestick Lite to prevent background CPU spikes.

10. DVR Recording Setup to Network Storage (SMB/NAS)
