Theateradvies and Cepezed are awarded at the International Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference in London with the runner-up prize for Theatre ’t Speelhuis in Helmond, the Netherlands. This prestigious design award was issued on June 9, 2014 by the STC, the International Society of Theatre Consultants.
Tester cards evidence
Katie designed several variations of recipe cards for a summer-themed client. She experimented with different fonts, colors, layouts, and elements like borders and images. The strengths of her designs included bright, contrasting colors; clear, easy-to-read layouts; and creative elements relating to the summer theme. Potential weaknesses included a lack of additional photos and nutritional information. For her second idea, she focused more on incorporating the recipe colors and tested different fonts, layouts, and a border of sun and flower images. While the designs fit the summer theme well, she could further improve them by adding more colors and descriptive adjectives to the recipe titles.

In onze referentielijst treft u een groot aantal projecten aan, variërend
van intieme toneelzalen tot multifunctionele en technologisch geavanceerde
schouwburgen en concertzalen.
In Nederland bestaat een unieke theatercultuur waar de overheid
strikte regels heeft gesteld aan de veiligheid en de gezondheid van
de medewerkers. Door deze ARBO-wetgeving waren alle theaters in
Nederland in de afgelopen 10 jaar gedwongen hun gehele theatertechnische
inrichting ingrijpend te herzien. Die situatie gaf ons de mogelijkheid
grote stappen te zetten op het gebied van theatertechnisch
ontwerp. Wij hebben die mogelijkheid met beide handen aangegrepen
en de belangrijkste innovaties van de afgelopen jaren op het gebied
van toneeltechniek, zijn door ons bureau ontwikkeld.
Als u kijkt naar de projecten die we hebben gedaan, ziet u dat onze
uitdaging ligt in het steeds opnieuw zoeken naar en ontwikkelen van
de beste oplossing voor ieder project. Dat doen we ook graag voor
uw project!

1) Maids are often seen merely as domestic workers but should be considered the national human resources of their home countries. Seeing maids this way leads to widespread abuses in both sending and receiving countries.
2) Maid abuse cases are prevalent globally and take many horrific forms, including physical, sexual and psychological torture and even murder. There is no justification for these abuses.
3) Resolving maid abuses requires political will and action from sending countries. Sending countries must establish comprehensive protection policies, support networks, and bilateral agreements to defend their citizens working abroad. Political expediency should not come before citizens' welfare.
Initial ideas and feedback
Katie Torpey developed five ideas for recipe cards targeting different audiences. Her favorite idea was for "Summer Foods" cards, featuring bright summer colors and recipes for cold dishes suitable for any age or gender that could be eaten in the heat of summer. She also liked the "Luxury Desserts" idea. From her partner's ideas, she favored the "Healthy, Organic" cards that promoted vegetarian meals the whole family could enjoy without compromising health.
