Computational prediction of antimicrobial peptide activityThet Su Win
This document summarizes computational approaches for predicting antimicrobial peptide (AMP) activity. It discusses the challenges of antimicrobial resistance and the potential of AMPs and peptides as novel drugs. The document reviews several machine learning algorithms for AMP prediction, including random forest, support vector machine, discriminant analysis, and k-nearest neighbors. These algorithms were tested on datasets from databases like CAMP and NCBI, using features like amino acid composition, physicochemical properties, and sequence alignment. The random forest and k-nearest neighbors algorithms achieved the best performance in predicting AMPs. Overall, computational tools can help design novel AMPs, but laboratory testing is still needed given challenges like instability, toxicity and FDA approval requirements.
This document contains a reading comprehension test with multiple choice questions about two interviews on a TV show called "Tea Break with the Stars". The first part of the test contains questions about an interview with Maria Velez, a singer, and the second part contains questions about a follow up interview between Maria and Anne Young, as well as a scene from Anne visiting Maria's husband Thom Brown's apartment. The final question involves directions from Thom to Anne on how to get to his apartment.
Prof. Greg Marsden's introductory presentation to the 2-day international workshop "Energy-related economic stress at the interface between transport poverty, fuel poverty and residential location", held at the University of Leeds, 20th – 21st May 2015.
- The document outlines notes on slope and linear equations from a class. It includes definitions of slope, formulas for calculating slope between two points, and examples of finding the slope and equation of a line from graphical data or given information.
- Students will review slope formulas, work examples and practice problems, and complete class work 2.11 applying concepts of slope and linear equations. The notes provide guidance on finding slope, writing equations of lines in slope-intercept and standard form, and graphing lines on coordinate planes.

Draft 4 feedback using a questionnairepamelayounes
A questionnaire was given to 5 of the target audiences for a draft film. The responses showed that 57% of the audience was aged 29, 33% thought the genre was a story, and 31% thought the good aspects were the music, acting and ending. For improvements, 33% said it was too long and 33% couldn't hear the dancing scene clearly. 100% of respondents said they would watch it again.

Sample Project development of anitmicrobial peptidesThet Su Win
This document outlines a project to develop novel peptide-based antimicrobial agents to address the problem of antimicrobial resistance. The project will involve identifying potential peptide candidates through literature review and computational analysis, optimizing peptide designs in the laboratory, and conducting pre-clinical testing. A team will be assembled to carry out the work over 3 years. Progress will be monitored regularly. Funding will be sought from Mahidol University and a Norwegian biopharmaceutical company. The expected outcomes are prediction of drug-able peptides and completion of the project on schedule to support further development.
