Meelis Tammre and Anna Zilberberg from Estonia won a couples carrying race in Finland with a time of 1 minute and 4 seconds. The race required men to carry their wives or partners over a 254-meter obstacle course that included hurdles and a chest-high water pool. Thirty-six couples from eight countries participated in the annual race held in a forest near the Arctic Circle, watched by up to 6,000 spectators. Tammre said he was exhausted but relieved to finally win after coming second three times previously.
