  4. 4. Multistakeholder Etymological roots in the United Nations, where interested parties are often referred to as “stakeholders”. Multistakeholderism means expanding opportunities for participation beyond governments to other stakeholders in society. Government, private sector, civil society organization and technical community
  5. 5. In Internet Governance context, Multistakeholder is a term introduced around 10 years ago in World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) and has become a necessity in managing this complex Internet Governance issue.
