NAFWAM<br />The “rules” of fitness and weight loss are fairly simple (see the article “Weight Loss” at www.ausport.gov.au/ais/nutrition/factsheets for a classic example)<br />Most people don’t stick to the rules<br />So what do you need to stick to the rules<br />Simple have peer support<br />NAFWAM PROVIDES THAT SUPPORT<br />
  3. 3. What does NAFWAM do?<br />NAFWAM (Nutrition and Fitness Wellbeing and Motivation) is an online support network for the promotion of healthy life choices.<br />It provides on line mentoring to help members achieve their health and fitness goals and stay fit and healthy.<br />

How does NAFWAM do it?<br />Health and fitness outcomes are related, starting with key physical measures like weight and waist measurement and ending up at your level of self esteem.<br />NAFWAM monitors the key indicators and helps members to use the indicators to change the nutrition and fitness activities that lead to poor health and poor well being<br />
  5. 5. NAFWAM Indicators<br />Exercise sessions, length and frequency<br />Physical Indicators, BMI and waist circumference<br />Psychological Indicators, self esteem and life satisfaction<br />Health assessment as provided by your chosen health care professional<br />

Why join?<br />NAFWAM provides the non judgmental peer group support that you need to take charge of your health and fitness<br />Only long term commitment will change your behaviour permanently<br />You will not change without long term peer group support<br />NAFWAM provides that support<br />
