Farmington Elementary First Grade Students rolled out the red carpet for their Grandparents during the school's annual "Grand Day" held on May 6, 2011.

Over 250 attended to show their support and were treated to a musical performance like none other! The day included a school and classroom tour and an chance to eat lunch together.

Students who have strong family support are likely to perform better in the classroom, signaling the strong impact programs like "Grand Day" can have on student achievement.
