    3. 3. Why YouTube? <ul><li>Generate awareness TTM (Pre-contemplation to Contemplation) Create discussion around the issue </li></ul><ul><li>Low cost compared to paying for air time </li></ul><ul><li>If promoted effectively than access to large audience </li></ul>
    4. 4. Limitations of YouTube <ul><li>Is generally not as effective as moving people into ACTION. </li></ul><ul><li>If the video is done poorly or not marketed it will flop. </li></ul>

The only time in healthcare you want something to go viral…. <ul><li>Have a professional make the video </li></ul><ul><li>Create a Website for follow up on an issue and post it on the description for your YouTube page </li></ul><ul><li>Use Facebook, Badges, Widgets, Twitter </li></ul><ul><li>Earn some media! Use local newspapers, radio stations for advertising your video </li></ul><ul><li>Search Engine Optimization, have a tech savvy person improve the visibility of your webpage in search engines </li></ul>
    6. 6. How to Post a Video on YouTube <ul><li>Make Your Video *It cannot be longer than 15 min or larger than 2 GB. </li></ul><ul><li>Upload the video onto your computer. </li></ul><ul><li>The video needs to be in the following formats: .mov, .avi, .mpg, .wmv </li></ul>

How to Post a Video on YouTube Cont’d <ul><li>Create a YouTube Account (or Login) Go to: Select “Create Account” on the right hand side (You can use your Google account to log in). </li></ul><ul><li>Click on “Upload” at the top of the screen </li></ul><ul><li>You can drag or drop a video onto the page </li></ul>

Also include your website here. </li></ul><ul><li>Tags - very important, use as many as you can so your video shows up when people search </li></ul>

How to Embed your YouTube Video on Wordpress <ul><li>You will need your Embedded HTML Code from your video on YouTube </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Login to YouTube </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Find the video you would like to post on your blog </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Right click on the video -> “copy embed html” </li></ul></ul>
