1. It all started in a bedroom and from there A star was born who we all know as Danielle! She has taken the
music industry by storm selling over 1 million copies of her album worldwide making it one of the fastest
selling albums of 2012 and here at Punk’d we have a very own personal interview with Danielle herself!
Danielle it’s very good to meet you!
D: Thank you, and thanks for having me.
What does it feel like being the fastest album of 2012 so far?
D: It feels amazing! To think at one point I was just a normal teenage girl singing in my bedroom and now
people are buying my cd! It’s just an amazing feeling I feel like im on top of the world!
You must have loads of people who support you?
Yeah I do. My family have always been behind me and backed me up 100% of the way and not to mention
my fans! Without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Is there anyone who you idolise?
I absolutely love Tracy Chapman! I think she’s amazing and has an amazing voice. She’s been such an
inspiration since I was very young and her music’s got me through some of the harder time in my life. I
think if you can connect with music then it helps you get through situations that might seem impossible at
the time.
You must have been to lots of gigs considering you’re such a music lover?
I’ve actually only ever been to three but they were pretty insane! I remember at one gig I got beer thrown
all over me and had to stand up for 4 hours covered in beer. At another one someone threw my shoe on
stage and one of the band members picked it up and threw it into the crowd. I don’t know what it is but
something always happens to me at gigs so I feel sorry for whoever comes with me haha.
Do you ever get really nervous before you start to perform?
Yes. All the time! Im not a very confident person at all, im very shy but before I go on stage I just close my
eyes and think to myself there my fans who have come to watch me so im to going to let them down. Or
other times I just picture all the audience in their underwear HAHA!
We’ve heard that boys like to through their shirts on stage. Is that true!?
Haha yeah it’s very true. In one night I think I had ten shirts throw at me, even one saying ‘marry me’! It’s
pretty weird at first people throwing their clothes at you but over time you get use to eat and even keep a
few.
