This offering also assumes the attendee has basic knowledge of Cardiovascular CTA. There will be a quick
review only of the basics & skipping ahead based on attendees’ knowledge.
8:30 AM - 9:00 AM Orientation:
Set Goals and Objectives for Cardiology Associates Masters Program.
Discuss Customer Goals and Expectations
9:00 AM - 9:30 AM. The Cardiovascular Department:
Department design and Patient throughput.
9:30 AM -12:00 PM Patient Selection and Scanning:
Coronary CTA Protocols. Discuss pitfalls of high heart rates, use of beta
blockers, recognizing an abnormal EKG. Discuss proper set-up of the
CCTA patient. Live patient scanning.
12:00 PM -1:00 PM Lunch: Cardiology Associates Conference Room
1:00 PM – 4:30 PM Patient Scanning and Image Post-Processing:
This session will show proper scanning techniques, and how to process
cardiac cases from start to finish. Cardiac anatomy, as visualized in all
three planes. Other vascular exams may be covered, (schedule

Ejection Fraction Protocols.
11:00 AM -12:00 PM Processing the difficult case:
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts, Stents, High Heart Rates.
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Lunch: Cardiology Associates Conference Room
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Post Processing continued: Cardiac and CT Angiography
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM CEU Certification:
Complete CEU requirements and issue Certificate of training.
