  3. 3. Egypt <ul><li>Water was used as a road to transport many goods </li></ul><ul><li>The pharaohs built pyramids for themselves as tombs </li></ul><ul><li>The Egyptians thought that the pharaohs were believed to be gods </li></ul>

King Tut and his life <ul><li>King Tut was buried in a tomb that was never open by anyone </li></ul><ul><li>The pharaohs had many jobs like being kings,generals,and religious leaders </li></ul><ul><li>Tut was a father to 2 kids </li></ul><ul><li>Tut brought everything from his life with him to his burial </li></ul>

Hatshepsut was the first girl Pharaoh to rule EVER <ul><li>She ruled from about 1473-1458 B.C.E </li></ul><ul><li>She was known for encouraging trades </li></ul><ul><li>She shared the power with her MALE relitives </li></ul><ul><li>She DEMANDED the same respect as a male </li></ul><ul><li>Sometimes she wore MALE clothes </li></ul>

Hatshepsut was the first girl pharaoh to rule EVER <ul><li>She even wore a fake beard that many guys wore when they ruled </li></ul><ul><li>She told stories that her dad was a god </li></ul><ul><li>She traded with many other countries </li></ul><ul><li>She had her biggest trade with the African Kingdom of Kush </li></ul><ul><li>It took 5 ships to carry all of the goods </li></ul><ul><li>It took over 200 guys to make the voyage </li></ul>

Things that they left behind <ul><li>They left behind a monument called the Dayr-al-Bahri </li></ul><ul><li>The main entrance was built over the Nile River </li></ul><ul><li>The entrance had thin monuments called Obelisks </li></ul><ul><li>The entrance was graced by 200 Sphinx Statues </li></ul><ul><li>Sphinx is a mythicial creature with the head of a man and the body of a lion </li></ul><ul><li>You can see this statue in Egypt today </li></ul>
