Purpose of the Initiative<br />SHRM India is focusing on its purpose of advancing the HR profession by initiating the exercise to examine the career path of an HR professional and determining how their competencies are enhanced over their careers. <br />The goal of this is to organize our thoughts and products around the career competencies needed by all HR professionals.<br />It is a global initiative covering HR professionals from various countries<br />Each focus group will consist of 4 exercises ( details to be shared during the discussion)–<br />Introductory ( group discussion on potential stages in a career)<br />Design Your Competencies ( individual inputs and group discussion)<br />Competency Comparison (review of existing competencies for HR professionals)<br />Critical Indicators ( individual inputs)<br />Information shared will be treated confidentially and the findings from the focus group will only be reported in aggregate. <br />A summary report post data collation will be emailed to you<br />1<br />

Process of Data Collection<br />Focus groups across 4 cities ( Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata)<br />Each city will have - <br />1 focus group consisting of senior-level (i.e., more than 15 years experience) HR professionals<br />1 focus group consisting of mid-level (i.e., 6-15 years experience) HR professionals<br />1 focus group consisting of entry-level (i.e., up to 5 years experience) HR professionals in a generalist role<br />1 focus group consisting of entry-level (i.e., up to 5 years experience) HR professionals in a specialist role<br />1 focus group consisting of business heads/leaders<br />Each focus group will consist of about 10-15 individuals <br />2<br />
