  6. 6. Plot Filmed mostly in Barry, Wales, the movie is a portrait of Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts), who believes he is a tortured literary genius and fantasises about an outpouring of grief at his untimely death, when he is in fact socially inept, awkward and unpopular. Convinced that his marine biologist father (Noah Taylor) is depressed and his mother (Sally Hawkins) is having an affair with old flame Graham (Paddy Considine), he embarks on a misguided campaign to bring the family back together while attempting to impress his classmate Jordana Bevan (Yasmin Paige), a straighttalking, eczema-suffering pyromaniac who "hates any place that could be termed romantic".
  7. 7. Who are Warp? • Warp is one of the foremost and most respected creative independent companies, now composed of Warp Records, Warp Films and Warp Music Videos & Commercials. It is based in London and Sheffield, with a further office now in Melbourne. Since its inception as a shop and record label in 1989, it has been a platform for innovative and boundary-breaking talent. • Warp films have been active since 2001 and have worked with a range of British directors, most notably Shane Meadows (This is England) and Chris Morris (Four Lions).
