Color matching cabinet

  1. 1. Color Matching Cabinet booth for visual assessment of color under 6 standard lights, folding body and button switch. Suitable yarn, fabric dyeing plant, garment manufacturer. Suitable for staining, change in color test by using grey scales during color fastness test.
  2. 2. The most accurate Color Viewing Cabinet(Light box, Light cabinet, Color box) to compare, matching and communicate color with absolute confidence. Our standard sizes of the Color viewing cabinet will accommodate nearly any sample size (and if not, larger custom sizes are available.
  3. 3. • Color looks different under different lighting condition. When one uses a Color Matching Cabinet it helps in marking the difference. Color Viewing Cabinets is equipped with most accurate light cabinet for visual evaluation of fabrics, garment, cloth, textiles, and leathers and so on. It checks matching under a standard light source in a closed environment to minimize the interference of external lights. • Color Matching Cabinet booth is used for visual assessment of color under 6 standard lights and comes with doors. Color Matching Cabinet, Light Box, is suitable for yarn, fabric dyeing plant, and garment manufacturer and exporters. Suitable for staining, change in color test by using grey scales during color fastness test
  4. 4. 1. Cabinet is made of Teakwood, Ply Board & Sun mica, with strict adherence to international standards. 2. Supplied with major tube lights & bulbs for quick and accurate color assessment. 3. Fitted with Electronic/ballasts for Instant start & power saving to safeguard the expensive & sensitive tube lights & bulbs 4. No warm-up; No flick; No heat emission; Elapsed Time displaying of each light source. 5. Energy saving; Efficient illumination. 6. Compact; High quality with low price. 7. Button Switches

  6. 6. • Artificial Daylight Fluorescent Lamps (D-65) : 01 Nos. (18 W) • Tungsten Filament Lamps : 04 Nos. (40 W) Cool White • Fluorescent Lamp (CWF) : 01 No. (18 W) Triphosphor • Fluorescent Lamp (TL-84) : 01 No. (18 W) Ultra-Violet Black • Lamp : 01 No. (8 W) Warm White : 01 No. (18 W)
  7. 7. Light Source The most used norm lights are: D65 : Average daylight with a color temperature of 6500 K. A : Tungsten light with a color temperature of 2856 K. TL84 : Fluorescent lamps with a color temperature of 4000 K. CWF : Fluorescent lamps with a color temperature of 4230 K.
  8. 8. Light Source Name Description C.R.I Length D65 VeriVide D65 "Artificial Daylight VeriVide D65 “Artificial Daylight”. Correlated colour temperature 6500K. Within the tolerances prescribed in BS 950: Part 1; and all international specifications for D65 illuminant. Specified for most applications where there is a need to maintain colour consistency and quality. Conforming highly to the CIE specifications, for accurate colour matching. 98 600mm 1200mm 1500mm 20w 40w 65w F Tungsten Filament Tungsten Filament Lighting. Approximate colour temperature of 2800K. Required by BS 950: Part 1 as a test for metamerism (approximating CIE Illuminant ‘A’). Typical light source used within domestic environments 100 Globe Globe Round Clear- 284mm Opal-284 40w 60w 150w 60w 60w A Tungsten Halogen Tungsten Halogen Lighting (CIE Illuminant ‘A’). This represents incandescent A (inc-A) with a color temperature of 2856K. Typical light source used within domestic environments. Used to check for metamerism. 100 --------- 35w
  9. 9. Light Source Name Description C.R.I Length 840 P15 Narrow Band Triphosphor Fluorescent Lamps. Correlated colour temperature of 4000K. CIE Illuminant F11. Often chosen as a European “Point of Sale” light source, with good colour rendering and manufactured to a tighter tolerance specification as prescribed by Marks & Spencer. 10. 10. Light Source Name Description C.R.I Length 830 Narrow Band Triphosphor Fluorescent Lamp. Correlated colour temperature 3000K. Often chosen as a European “Point of Sale” light source with good colour rendering.(Formerly TL83) 85 600mm 1200mm 1500mm 18w 40w 65/80 w UV Ultra Violet Ultra-Violet Black light. Used to detect the presence of Optical Brightening Agents and/or Fluorescent dyes. Therefore it is useful when assessing white and Fluorescent shades to check the level present and its evenness. 11. 11. Color Matching Cabinet Confirms with following international standards: 1. ISO 3664, 2. BS 950, 3. ASTM D 1729, 4. DIN 6173
  12. 12. 1. The equipment offers a wide viewing area equipped with multiple light sources or lamps to detect the phenomenon of Metamerism, where samples appear to match under one light source but is distinctly different under another. In order to reach the final approval the fabric has to go through various light sources which include: artificial daylight, cool white light, tungsten filament light, ultra violet black light, triphosphor fluorescent light. 2. The sample to be tested and the original sample are to be kept in the viewing cavity. 3. After switching on the D-65 Light closely check the original specimen and the specimen to be tested.
  13. 13. • When the match is satisfactory, the specimen is to be tested under CWF Light and TFL Lamps. • Now the test is carried out under U.V.B Light, it is necessary to ascertain if both samples react equally to Ultra Violet radiation. • Then the final test is carried out under TL-84 Philips Triphosphor Fluorescent lamp tube light is carried to ascertain if the colors are acceptable at the ‘Point of Sale’. • All these help in judging the color differences accurately, by comparing the samples in different conditions. When the match of both samples holds well under all the lights, it means that the Dyeing, Printing and the coloring of the fabric or yarn is as per the requirement
  14. 14. Color matching booths and visual color matching • The nature and intensity of the light source. • The angle of illumination and viewing the samples. • The color of the surrounds and the sample back ground. • The size and distance apart of the samples. • The state of adaptation of the observer. • The observer’s color vision characteristics. • An agreement on the color-difference term to be used.
  15. 15. Matching booth design • The lamps are placed in a recess directly above the matching surface, preferably behind a frosted glass cover and/or filter glass which provides reasonably diffuse illuminant. • The matching surface and the interior of the matching booth should be painted a light grey (about 30% reflectance). • The booth placed at height such that the viewing angle for the observer of average stature is approximately 45o.
  16. 16. Rules of visual examination. • Place the specimens in immediate juxtaposition and should be interchanged to avoid any bias in viewing them. • Keep intensity of illuminant high. • Have the background similar to the specimens. • Have the illumination spectrally representative of that normally employed in critical commercial studies, usually actual or artificial day light.
