What is it? <ul><li>A four year contract designed by Colin Dale along-side Tania Everleigh to increase teaching performance across schools. </li></ul><ul><li>Effective coaching and mentoring, without being invasive of your teaching. </li></ul><ul><li>Helping teachers develop more effective pedagogy. </li></ul><ul><li>A personalised programme to suit each teacher, to help them achieve their goals. </li></ul>

  4. 4. EHSAS Mentor <ul><li>This is Tania Everleigh. Her job is to oversee the whole cluster and assist where needed. She is the mentor for all seven schools. </li></ul>

EHSAS School Facilitator <ul><li>Sarah Herbert </li></ul><ul><li>Role: </li></ul><ul><li>Lead the contract within the school </li></ul><ul><li>Collect data for numeracy and literacy. </li></ul><ul><li>Collect and analyse data collected from observations. </li></ul><ul><li>Be a support to teachers </li></ul>
  6. 6. Your role <ul><li>To be open to being observed in a supportive way. </li></ul><ul><li>To strive towards your own teaching goals. </li></ul><ul><li>To be able to discuss where you are at, and where you would like to go next. </li></ul><ul><li>To ask for help if you need it. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Impact on teaching <ul><li>We are hoping that this contract has a huge impact on teachers and the learning which goes on in classrooms. </li></ul><ul><li>This contract will not take up a lot of your time like previous contracts. </li></ul><ul><li>This contract is designed to have you guiding your own development too. </li></ul>
  8. 8. Principles of Good Teaching <ul><li>In 2002 MBI produced a set of statements which, at the time the school agreed were the ‘principles of good teaching.’ </li></ul><ul><li>This list has since been added to. The statements which feature are a summation of the skills and qualities that comprise quality, effective teaching. </li></ul>
