  2. 2. What Happened?<br />On August 1, 2003, Crowsnest Pass Was hit with a wildfire:<br />6km wall of flame that reached 50m into the sky.<br />Threw off energy equivalent to an atomic explosion. (Every 30 minutes)<br />
  3. 3. The Negative Affects<br />Burned over20,000hectares of forest<br />Destroyed many homes.<br />The Tourism Industry lost a lot of money.<br />Many animals lost their habitat.<br />
