  2. 2. A seed is planted in the ground. It is called an acorn.
  3. 3. The acorn turns into a sprout. It grows roots, a stem and leaves.
  4. 4. As the sprout begins to grow, it turns into a sapling. Saplings have little branches and leaves.
  5. 5. As the sapling grows and grows, it turns into a mature oak tree. It will be huge and live for many years!
