  2. 2. Symbolic Interactionism <ul><li>People interact by stating facts about themselves with others. </li></ul><ul><li>In this icon, it symbolizes the closeness of the whales who travel in groups. They communicate by giving out sound waves and by gestures. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Conflict <ul><li>There is a particular spider that eats its own kind despite that it is from the same species. Human beings tend to use one another then do not acknowledge their group or “friend” when a particular task is finished or if one of them is of no use anymore. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Positivism <ul><li>People observe others and compare them to themselves. </li></ul><ul><li>We chose the eyeglasses because when you are studying a person or getting to know someone, you should look closely before judging them. </li></ul>

Functionalism and Social Facts <ul><li>In a society, there a lot of </li></ul><ul><li>groups which are all different </li></ul><ul><li>from each other. </li></ul><ul><li>Pompoms, it symbolizes the jocks </li></ul><ul><li>and the cheerleaders. In every school, </li></ul><ul><li>there will always be jocks and cheerleaders. </li></ul><ul><li>Also, their attitudes are usually the same: cocky </li></ul><ul><li>and snobbish. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Society is a living organism <ul><li>Ants have a great society, each group of ants have a specific job, like the soldier ants. They are focused as a group and work as a group to make their society progress and be successful. </li></ul>
