Assessing Scholarship in the SOE: Sharing Faith in Learning• Today’s Presentation Background on White Paper published in 2011-12 and its purpose: • Develop a paper to inform administration and personnel committee on specific scholarship activities in the GFU School of Education • Incorporate ideas of Ernest Boyer et al – aligned with GFU Faculty Handbook and Academic Procedures • Develop a guide for faculty to use in preparing annual growth plans • Assess scholarship activities – guide for dean’s evaluation and faculty’s self- reflection• Next Step – Implement guide for faculty growth plans for 2012-2014 International Christian Community for Teacher Education (ICCTE) - Azusa, CA 5/24/12
