Writing a hypothesis

 1. 1. Writing a Hypothesis
2. 2. If pimples are related to eating chocolate, then people who eat large quantitiesof chocolate will have more pimples than non-chocolate eaters.
3. 3. If there is salt in the soil, then plant growth will decrease because salt absorbs the water
plants need for photosynthesis.
4. 4. If we expose plants to different colorlights, then plant growth will be affected because light is important to photosynthesis.
5. 5. If bacterial growth is dependent on temperature, then bacteria will grow best in warm temperatures because bacteria like warmth.
6. 6. If there is exposure to ultraviolet light, then the risk of skin cancer increases because research has shown that there is.
7. 7. If leaves are exposed to different temperatures, then there will be a change in the color of the leaves because photosynthesis rates are higher in warm temperatures.
8. 8. If someone sleeps less, then they will concentrate less because they will have less energy to stay awake.
9. 9. If test scores are related to eating breakfast, then scores should go up if
breakfast is eaten
because it provides the body with energy.
10. 10. If metabolic rate is related to diet, then decreasing ones diet will result in a lower metabolic rate because of a lack of (food) energy.
11. 11. If the direction of plant growth depends on light, then a plant will grow in the direction of the light because light is needed for photosynthesis.
