  1. 1. How to make a spaceship fly!<br />Animation with PowerPoint<br />Jacqui Sharp 2010<br />
  2. 2. Find a background picture<br />Drag the corners of the photo until it fills the whole slide.<br />
  3. 3. Find a rocket or spaceship graphic or draw one in Paint or Artrage<br />Place the rocket at the bottom of the page.<br />If there are flames at the bottom of the rocket hide them<br />By dragging the graphic off the slide a bit.<br />
  4. 4. If your rocket or spaceship graphic has a white background then…<br />You will need to remove it by clicking on the Transparent button<br />PowerPoint 2003<br />Click on Graphic, if picture menu is not there then go to View –Toolbars –Picture. Click on Transparent button.<br />Click on White part of graphic.<br />PowerPoint 2007<br />Click on Graphic, click on Format tab. Click on Recolor button. Click on Set Transparent Color button.<br />Click on White part of graphic.<br />
  5. 5. You need to make the slide smaller so that you can use the space outside the slide for objects to fly in!<br />Office 2003<br />Click on the Zoom button to make the screen smaller<br />Office 2007<br />Drag the Zoom slider to make the screen smaller<br />

Now Animate!Click on the graphic!<br />PowerPoint 2003<br />To animate the rocket<br />Go to Slideshow -Custom Animation<br />Click on Add an Effect -Motion Paths – Draw Custom Path – and then line or curve<br />PowerPoint 2007<br />Animations tab, click on No Animation arrow and select Custom Animation <br />
  7. 7. Click and drag a path from the bottom of the rocket to off the screen.<br />You need to drag the motion path right off the slide so that the object will disappear off the slide.<br />Click on the Slideshow button, <br />then click to make the object animate.<br />

  9. 9. Click on the rocket
  10. 10. Click once on the arrow up key
  11. 11. Duplicate that slide
  12. 12. Click on the rocket
  13. 13. Click once on the arrow up key
  14. 14. Click and drag slightly on the green Rotate button
