This document provides instructions for creating homemade reindeer and other Christmas decorations for outdoor holiday displays over multiple years. It describes how to make reindeer costumes out of tights, a clothes hamper, fabric and accessories. Other projects mentioned include penguins playing instruments, a gingerbread house, a toy shop, and themes involving Santa's sleigh having an accident or elves enjoying trains. The document discusses repurposing items like traffic cones, gloves and placemats to create decorations, and highlights some wooden bear figurines that have been part of the display for 15 years.
6. How to Make Awesome Reindeer 2010…
•Two pairs of Brown Tights New and Improved Reindeer -
•A Collapsible Clothes Hamper
•Two Yards of Stretch Jersey Fabric for
Highlighted body and tail.
•A Red Felt Scarf
•A Deer Head (Plush) Over a Plastic Rudolph
Beer Mug.
Fill the panty hose with shipping peanuts, fill the
hamper with dry cleaner bags. Put the panty
hose over the hamper… you now have four legs
and a body… paint water bottles or any plastic
bottle to cover the feet/ hove's. Pin the fabric
under the belly, and clip at the end for a tail, and
add the scarf to hold it tight at the front. And to
hold the plastic mug to attach the deer head.
Voila! Reindeer!
