Characters – Role of supernatural ghost is played by
a female Asian actress, not using male gaze
More than 1 victim.
Use of camera – Tilted, panning to get the POV of
the actors expressions, low angles
Set location- home found in many horror movies
like Grudge

For example each time the sinister music plays during a scene , it helps the audience recognize that therewill be at threat ahead. This happens during the scene when the protangisnt and super natural ghost come facetofaceat the bottom of the staircase where every attack takes place. Another convention of horror films I conformed to was to use over the shoulder and pov shots. This was used when the protanoist walks up the stairs , and then I developed this by tilting the camerain a dialangal way to followi her pace. This shows that the evil has risen above and helps build up the tension. The setting of where the action takes placein my film is also conventional. Most supernatural films take place in their homes, such as paranormal activuty and the grudge. This is why I decided to conform to this convetion because it would help create a horro feeling even though your home is suppose to be the safestplace for anyone from supernatuarl spirits. It also helps create more tention in the atmosphere when a victim gets attacked. Overall, this is why I decied to conform to these conventions because they complemented my films narrative. I also chose to develop some of these in order to provide my audience with something different but notto much just in case they don’t approve it.
