  2. 2. What is privatization  Privatization: It refers to a mode of doing things of his own without any control of the Government.  This practice may be at an individual level or at organizational level.
  3. 3. Privatization can be categorized in to three parts 1-Delegation: Government keeps hold of responsibility and private enterprise handles fully or partly the delivery of product and services. 2-Divestment: Government surrenders the responsibility. 3-Displacement: The private enterprise expands and gradually displaces the government entity.
  4. 4. Privatization in Education  transferring the ownership of education to the private sector In case of , privatization in higher education can be one alternative since it needs huge funds for developing physical infrastructure and conducting basic researches.
  5. 5. Advantage of privatization  Reduced the burden of money on the government  Absence of political inferences  Increase working efficiency  Use of modern technology  Innovation in teaching and institution
  6. 6. Disadvantage of privatization  Exploitation of labor and unemployment  Increases student mobility  Miss-use of power by educator and education administrator  Increases inequality and unequal distribution of education  Lack of job security
