  1. 1. “Championing the Rights, Welfare and Development of Belizean Families and Children” VACANCY Program Coordinator - Child and Adolescent Participation Scope of Work: The Program Coordinator for CAP is the principal officer in charge of the child and young people’s participation strategy, and for advocacy activities on behalf of the NCFC Secretariat related to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Organizational Relationship: The Program Coordinator for CAP is accountable to and reports directly to the Executive Director. Responsibilities and Tasks:  Develop a systematic and sustainable approach to the participation of children and young people in civil society and policy development  Engage and work with various social sector organizations, government departments, business organizations and individuals in order to build their capacity, foster their commit to, and realize the participation of children and young people in both programs and policy development  Establish programs that align to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the National Plan of Action and any other local or internationally recognized and standards for the participation of children and young people  Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of children and young people’s participation programs  Contribute to the public relations activities of NCFC  Represent NCFC on committees that impact on the participation of children and young people  Develop and be accountable for annual budgets and work plans  Provide monthly program and financial reports  Assist the Executive Director with any other duties as may be assigned periodically.
