When it comes to starting a business on the internet, do you know that there is one harmful thing
that many people do all the time and they feel great about it? They shouldn't feel great, after all
they are just harming their own business and income prospects, but they do it anyway. So what is
it that people do so often?
Nothing.
That's right. The worse thing that people do is to do nothing. They just decide to take no action at
all. The positive side is that they have not failed but if we step back and look critically we can
clearly see that should be a small comfort. What we are talking about is of course fear of failure.
We need to fail. You need to fail.
Now I am not saying you should aim for failure, that of course would make no sense, but we
should jump in and start our online business, a website, a blog or a whatever. Just face the fact
that sometimes you will not get things right. Part of what makes the online adventure so much fun
is learning something new and just giving it a try to see what happens. When I do something new I
know that I will get some things wrong and I accept it.
Learn From It.
The best thing I ever did was just jump in and give the online business a try. I am willing to bet that
many people out there have been reading tons of information trying to make sure that they learn
the 'secrets' of online business before they even try. I know because for a long time I was one of
those people. I now just give new things a go, look at what I do right, at what I do wrong and then
try to figure out what I can do better based on what I did.
Face Your Fear.
If you recognize yourself as one of these people here is what you can do. The beauty of the
internet is that you can start a business for nothing and learn as you go for free. This is not the
only way but it is one way to get started. Here's how:
Pick a subject you are interested in.
Get a blog on your chosen subject from one of the popular free sites.
Write a few blog entries.
Find a couple of products related to your subject that you can sell for a commission.
Write a couple of product reviews on your blog.

2. Now write a few articles about your subject to begin advertising your blog.
This is a free and easy way to start. Will you make money fast? Maybe, maybe not. But most
importantly you will be online and you will be learning by doing and that is the fastest way to go
