  2. 2.  Implemented quality systems & performance rating for the domestic suppliers AREAS OF EXPERTISE Supplier Quality & Technical Assurance  Analysing the performance of the vendors based on various criteria such as quality/ technology improvement rate, timely delivery, etc.  Reviewing vendor quality status, plan actions to attain continual quality improvement of vendors.  Taking adequate measures like conducting audits to monitor and analyze the performance of vendors pertaining to quality and delivery norms. New Product Development  Coordinating the entire development activities including requirement analysis, planning, finalising specifications and prototype development.  Troubleshooting all technical problems till SOP; conducting various tests & inspections to ensure that products developed are in compliance with pre-set quality specifications.  Skills in handling functions like process planning for new products, process machinery selection, facility creations for testing, quality requirements according to customer requirements. Gauged & approved documents PFD, PFMEA, Process Control Plan, SMIR, 4M and MIS-P. Headed the implementation of quality systems like, PPAP, Traceability, SPC, 3G, 3M, Kaizen, 5S and Poke- Yoke activities to streamline and standardize work flow. Voluntarily helped MSIL at three major hardships ie. vendors 1. caught by fire at M/s.Sunvacuum) 2. Quality issues due to IR issues at M/s.Machino & M/s. KML 3. Bankrupt at M/s Craftech (Developed Alternate source) Successfully executed:  Transfer of New Assembly/ Testing Line/Machines at M/s. Mando Brakes.  SPC Study and Process Capability Analysis for the Brake Booster Assembly or Testing Process Effectuated the following quality enhancements:  Concept of Defect Museum, Sequential Final Inspection, Re-Visit to Shop floor machines implemented at 14 vendors of various domain  Re-furbishing(overhauling) done for all the welding machines by which accuracy, consistency & quality enhanced in sun visor parts at M/s Sun visor India  Successfully resolved problems ex. ORVM Noise, Head lamp loose particle, steering wheel mould crack, Hook-Horn Pad (Alto) breakage, Door Trim gap with inner scalp, Cluster cover gap with dash board, white patches on dash board, Bumper (FR & RR) uneven gap & L/D with Body etc. Reduced the defects of M/s.Sunvisor India through continuous process improvements by 84% from 103 (2010-11) to 16 (2011-12) VA/ VE Projects:  Powder Coating process introduced on Stay, Fr Hood in place of Trivalent (ELV) Plating, used in Model – Alto as a result Cost saving of 30 LPA by changing the Trivalent ELV plating into Powder Coating process with SST hours (from 132 hrs to 480 hrs).
