Students created math games. They are responsible for trying them on a test group and then leading their game in a class rotation. Each student input their game details and Taylor was in charge of graphic design.

Multiplication “BINGO” <ul><li>Hand out multiplication sheets to everybody </li></ul><ul><li>Explain the game </li></ul><ul><li>Call out the numbers to the students </li></ul><ul><li>The first person to say “BINGO” will win but you have to get it horizontally or vertically </li></ul><ul><li>If two people say “BINGO” at the same time the person who has the most in the row or column will win “BINGO” </li></ul><ul><li>Materials and Setup </li></ul><ul><li>Skills needed to know division </li></ul><ul><li>Time to play 3 rounds </li></ul><ul><li>Max # players 19, 1 host </li></ul>

Number Hunt By Sathya <ul><li>You get multiplication facts like 2 x 6 and someone tries to find the answer somewhere around the room if they don’t find a correct answer they try to find others. </li></ul><ul><li>Cards with numbers hidden around the room. </li></ul><ul><li>Needs to know multiplication facts and has to have good memory. </li></ul><ul><li>10 -15 minutes </li></ul><ul><li>4-8 people. Groups of 2 </li></ul>
  4. 4. Measurement Hunt By. Ryan Strydom <ul><li>Steps (In Measurement hunt everybody will partner up with ONE other child and He/She will hold the answer key and ruler. The answer keys will be in different orders so no one will cheat and you measure the areas that the answer key says to measure and if the object is a certain measurement for instance 8 and a half and on the card it says 8 and a half=rock then go to the rock. </li></ul><ul><li>Materials and Setup </li></ul><ul><li>Garden/rulers </li></ul><ul><li>Skills needed to play </li></ul><ul><li>Measurement </li></ul><ul><li>Time to play </li></ul><ul><li>Until someone wins </li></ul><ul><li>Max # players </li></ul><ul><li>20 </li></ul>

  6. 6. Hot Potato Multiplication <ul><li>You start the music with one person holding a bean bag. Next Ms. Shields says a multiplication problem and the person with the bean bag answers it. Then he/she makes a problem up [can’t be to hard] and throws it to another person. You continue this until the music stops and whoever has the bean bag is out. </li></ul><ul><li>Materials and Setup </li></ul><ul><li>Need to know multiplication </li></ul><ul><li>Takes as long as needed </li></ul><ul><li>Need to have boom box and bean bag </li></ul>

Division Bean Bag Toss <ul><li>I hold up flash card </li></ul><ul><li>You guess the answer </li></ul><ul><li>Throw the bean bag in the hole for extra points. </li></ul><ul><li>Beanbags, a board to throw beanbags in </li></ul><ul><li>Skills: division, throw a beanbag </li></ul><ul><li>Time: 5-10 min. </li></ul><ul><li>Equal amount of players on each team </li></ul>

Card Tables <ul><li>Round 1, Five players sit on a table and the manager passes five index cards down the table. </li></ul><ul><li>The manager will count to three. </li></ul><ul><li>When the manager says three the five players will take a card. </li></ul><ul><li>The card will have a hard multiplication problem like 269 x 3. </li></ul><ul><li>If a player doesn’t solve it in twenty seconds or doesn’t get it right their out </li></ul><ul><li>Needs Index cards </li></ul><ul><li>Max 5 players </li></ul><ul><li>7 min max </li></ul>

Sparkle <ul><li>Steps </li></ul><ul><li>Materials and Details </li></ul><ul><li>Set up </li></ul><ul><li>Pick five or more people including you </li></ul><ul><li>First you have an index card that go's from 1 to 20 </li></ul><ul><li>Now you say a number for example 9 then you have to say the sums that equal up to that number </li></ul><ul><li>you can’t say the same number as another person or your out </li></ul><ul><li>Your sum has to be lower than ten </li></ul><ul><li>When there's no more sums you say sparkle but if you don’t and you say another sum you’re out </li></ul><ul><li>Materials: An index card that has sums that equal from 1 to 20 </li></ul><ul><li>Skills: All about addition </li></ul><ul><li>Time: No time </li></ul><ul><li>Max # all </li></ul>

Inch by Inch Measurement <ul><li>Steps </li></ul><ul><li>Materials and Details </li></ul><ul><li>First you need to have a partner . </li></ul><ul><li>Then you get I line of two with your partner . </li></ul><ul><li>Then the first partner in each line pick a card one for each partner . </li></ul><ul><li>The card could say 5 inch and the another team could say 1 inch you have to find anything that is the same inch as your card said .(use your ruler) </li></ul><ul><li>Who ever find the same measurement first win . </li></ul><ul><li>The partner that win they have to answers a question if they got it wrong there out or if they didn’t answers it in 10 sec or there out . </li></ul><ul><li>Materials:4 ruler,22 flashcard </li></ul><ul><li>Skills: Measurement </li></ul><ul><li>Time: ‘Till we have 1 partner left </li></ul><ul><li>Max # players: need to be even partner . </li></ul>
