Some of the “W’s” for Slide Share
What does this tool do, and how can YOU find it?
Slide Share is a presentation sharing website where users can upload, view and share presentation /videos.
You also have your own personal “My Slide Space” page, where you can keep track of your own posts.
3. 3. Ways to find Slide Share
One way is to Google search the name “Slide Share”.
Another way is to directly go to the website.

Some features Slide Share offers….

Allows you to post your own videos, presentations and other media directly to the site.

 7. 7. Just some of the very many features!

Slide Share and others using it
Other people use slideshare to archive power points, share presentation slides, post power points for academic courses (teachers can especially use this), create picture montages, put power points up to get feedback (especially when used as a public location for class presentations), use as a backup documentation, to post events, and it is used to share all microsoft office and all iwork programs-keynote, word, excel, etc.
8. 8. What surprised us about this tool
It was surprising that there is no privacy options, everything is up for view to the public, original presentations can't be downloaded, every power point has its own url, its like a components that make it like a twitter or facebook because you have a profile where you can follow people and, post a recent activity, post whatever on your wall, and put your picture up, and have others give you feedback.
What was also surprising was that slideshare cannot let people work together on power points or other files over the internet at the same time so people can work together without meeting physically because Google docs does, this could be something that slide share could work on for future users.
9. 9. Is it free??
Slide share is a strictly web-based and free program. There is no need to download any type of software. You just need to sign-up and give basic information. Slide share is supported by other social networks such asFacebookand Twitter.
