Hydrostatic Weighing <ul><li>This is used to estimate % body fat through being weighed in the water </li></ul><ul><li>The subject will need to be in a bathing suit and not have a fear of water </li></ul><ul><li>The lab instructor will be the one taking the readings since they are trained on how to use this equipment </li></ul>

Methods: Hydrostatic Weighing <ul><li>In the previous pictures, it shows how the subject should look during the test </li></ul><ul><li>They need to make sure their whole body is submerged with nothing touching the side, back or bottom of the tank </li></ul><ul><li>Ask them to blow all the air out of their lungs to obtain a more accurate reading (this is the RV) </li></ul>

Methods: Bod Pod <ul><li>Estimated % body fat through ADP air displacement plethysmography </li></ul><ul><li>This is done by having the subject sit in the pod and breath </li></ul><ul><li>The subject must wear a bathing suit, nose clip and swim cap </li></ul><ul><li>The instructor will be the one performing this test </li></ul>
