  2. 2. Starter and Objective Describe how people traveled across the U.S. without cars, trains, or airplanes. Write your answer in a complete sentence. Be prepared to share your answer. I Can Statement: I can connect the vocabulary terms for this unit to the definition.

Vocabulary Walk  Use a Vocabulary Worksheet to gather the terms or phrases of this lesson.  Write a definition in the labeled space on the form.  Work with a team (no more than 4 students per team) to complete the worksheet using pictures displayed around the room. This work will be a 3 minute timed activity at each picture. Each team begins at the picture assigned to them.  Write a complete sentence using the term or phrase within the 3 minute time limit.  Share your team’s answer with the class when directed.
