  1. 2. Materials Used <ul><li>Biodex System- a computerized dynamometer </li></ul>

Methods <ul><li>The Biodex will measure: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>isometric strength: with a speed of 0 measure MVC (maximum voluntary contraction) for flexion and extension of knee </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>isokinetic strength/ power: with speeds of 30, 90, 180, 270 and 360°/sec measure the maximum effort in flexion and extension of the knee in 3 trials </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>isokinetic strength/power/endurance: with a speed of 180°/sec, repeat 50 contractions in each direction (flexion and extension). Be sure to look at when the torque fell below 50% of the MVC </li></ul></ul>
