  4. Unconscious Bias colors our decisions based on many factors… tattoos, where someone went to school, the type of car someone drives, how someone dresses, etc.
  5. We think our conscious side of the brain is in control, but it’s actually our unconscious side Be Aware by: Slowing down decision making at key times
  6. Hold ourselves accountable by asking if we would have made the decision differently if the person was “different” than us
  7. Question cultural stereotypes
  8. Extend your networks with people who are different than us… here tonight and at work tomorrow
