  2. 2. What is LLN?  Open innovation platform to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, expertise and facilities and accelerate the development of applications in the field of Nanomedicines  EFRD grant to kick start and demonstrate the added-value  Started in October 2017
  3. 3. Core partners & Project Details  Goal: provide SMEs easy and flexible access to knowledge and infrastructure for nanomedicine development, -delivery and –production  Initiated by:

  5. 5. (1) Assessment of partner’s needs ■ Easy access to partners ■ Access to specific infrastructure and (clinical) expertise ■ Overview of regionally accessible facilities & expertise ■ Active organization of platform including business development support ■ Network meetings

(2) Assessment of partner’s supply ■ Knowledge, knowhow and expertise = most important ‘’facility’’ provided that… – Exchange is in line with core business/research – Exchange results in financial means – Exchange takes preferably place on the basis of co-development or project-based collaboration However… there is room for CRO-activities
  7. 7. (3) Organisationmodel LLN RRFRTCs RTC: Radboud Technology Centers (Radboudumc) RRF: Radboud Research Facilities (RU)  In order to connect supply and demand  Embedding in existing initiatives  Front-end organisation vs. actual collaboration Nanomedicine- related facilities
  8. 8. ■ Integration with existing initiatives ■ Create overall menu of available facilities ■ Expand the network of partners ■ Improve (online) visibility of existing initiatives including LLN  Requires application-oriented descriptions instead of technology-push Follow-up activities
