Making your site's Search Engine Optimization as good as possible involves paying attention to
the facts. On that note, here's a set of 10 problems you might have overlooked that could
negatively affect your SEO.
1. An Accidentally Indexed Development Site A development site that accidentally gets indexed
by the search engines may damage your Search Engine Optimization because usually the
development site is quite similar to the actual site. This means the real site could get
downgraded for duplicate content.

pages (SERPs) and divert visitors from the actual site.
