I fear that all the talk of NEW media, allows people to excuse themselves for not playing effectively.
I figured a reminder of just how NOT NEW it is may be somewhat of the wake up call for those that keep ignoring or excusing themselves from really engaging in the media we use most.

  5. 5. one thing is for certain businesses hate being left behind
  6. 6. ….. so here is something that might help
  7. 7. in 1994 Nelson Mandela was sworn in as the President of South Africa
  8. 8. ….20 years ago, when Jeff Bezos started
  9. 9. the very next year….. 19 Years Ago (1995) & started
  10. 10. When Steffi Graf won the 1996 Wimbledon Championship
  11. 11. Google & Expedia were hard at it
  12. 12. The next year the world lost Princess Diana 1997
  13. 13. 3 years later…errr…. nothing happened
  14. 14. other than Google Adwords and PayPal launching in 2000 (14 Years Ago)
  15. 15. in 2001 we got “smarter” faster
  16. 16. or did we?
  17. 17. It was 12 years ago when Lleyton won Wimbledon
  18. 18. and the next year, “networking” went digital
  19. 19. when George W Bush won a Second term 2004
  20. 20. and the “war on terror” continued 2004
  21. 21. Mark was busy explaining
  22. 22. and we got
  23. 23. its been 9 years since London was terrorised
  24. 24. and since the worlds second largest search engine started
  25. 25. followed by a bit of company
  26. 26. 2006 2007 2010 2010
  27. 27. so the next time someone says “NEW” MEDIA
  28. 28. you may like to show them this
  29. 29. or play this
