Matter
Colossians 1:16
For in him all things were

and for him.

Anything that has mass
and takes up space is
matter.

Matter can have many
different varieties of
properties,or
characteristics.
●
Everything is matter.
●
Matter is a solid, liquid, or
gas.
God created everything
and everything is
matter.

Atoms and the Periodic Table
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for
you,” declares the Lord, “plans
to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and
a future.

Mendeleev's came up with
the periodic table.
●
The periodic table is laid out
in columns and rows.
●
Every element is in it's own
place.
●
Atoms are made up of
protons, neutrons, and
electrons.
●
God has an order and
plan for everything. An
example of this is the
periodic table everything
is in it's place and is in
order.

Chemical Bods
Ecclesiastes 4:12
Though one may be
overpowered, two can defend
themselves. A cord of three
strands is not quickly broken.

A chemical bond is when a
force holds two atoms
together.
●
When the two or more
atoms are bonded together
they are called a molecule.
●
There are different kinds of
bonds.
●
There are Ionic and
Covalent bonds.
●
Chemical bonds are all about
working together and losing
and gaining electrons. God
wants the same for us he
wants us to work together and
help each other in their time
of need.

Chemical Reactions
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the
same yesterday and
today and forever.

Chemical reactions change state.
●
Chemical reactions also change
energy.
●
When new bonds form or if
chemical bonds break that makes a
chemical reaction.
●
In a specific set of circumstances
whether or not a chemical reaction
will occur determines the chemical
bond.
●
Chemical bonds may
change state but Jesus
will never change.

Acids and Bases
1 John 4:1-3
Dear friends, do not believe
every spirit, but test the spirits to
see whether they are from God,
because many false prophets
have gone out into the world.
This is how you can recognize
the Spirit of God: Every spirit
that acknowledges that Jesus
Christ has come in the flesh is
from God, but every spirit that
does not acknowledge Jesus is
not from God. This is the spirit of
the antichrist, which you have
heard is coming and even now is
already in the world.

Acids have a low pH level

Bases have a high pH level

Lemon are acids

Water is neutral it is neither an
acid or a bases.
●
In order to know what a pH of
a substance is you have to test
it. The same is with prophets.
There can be false prophets so
you have to test to see if what
the prophets are saying is true.

Energy
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork,
created in Christ Jesus to do
good works, which God
prepared in advance for us to
do.

Energy is the ability to
work or cause change.
●
Two kinds of energy are
Kinetic and Potential.
●
Kinetic energy is energy of
motion.
●
Potential energy is stored
energy ready to be used.
●
Without energy we would
never be able to do God's
handiwork and go out into
the world and work for him.

Thermal Energy
Revelation 3:15

particles in thermal energy.

measure temperature are
Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin.

The three states of matter are
solid, liquid, and gas.

If thermal energy is absorbed or
released the matter will change
from one state to another.

Thermal energy has to do with
heat.
●
Our deeds can be cold
hot or lukewarm. If our
deeds are on fire for
God or are passionate
people can tell

Motion
Acts 17:28
‘For in him we live and move
and have our being.’ As some of
your own poets have said, ‘We
are his offspring.’

When an object is moving
closer or father away from a
reference point it is in motion.
●
Speed is the distance the
object travels in a unit of time.
●
Motion is measured in meters.
●
There are three kinds of
acceleration, seeding up,
slowing down, and changing
direction.

Every move we make
we should make in
Jesus.

Forces
Colossians 2:20-21
Since you died with Christ to the
elemental spiritual forces of this
world, why, as though you still
belonged to the world, do you
submit to its rules: “Do not
handle! Do not taste! Do not
touch!”?

Acceleration
• Force in measured in
newtons
• The amount of force you
put on an object that
equals the acceleration
and the mass of the
object.
• When two objects rub
against each other that
is called friction.

We still act like the world.
We should be doing
Christ like behaviors
instead of following the
sin of the world.

Electricity
Isaiah 40:29
He gives strength to the

power of the weak.

A pointer of a galvanometer
is turned by the use of
electric current.

There are two kinds of
currents, alternating and
direct.
●
Alternating current is the
currents in your home.
●
There are many ways to
generate energy.
●
God will always help
us and give us energy
when we need it.

Sound
Psalm 66:8
Praise our God, all
peoples, let the sound
of his praise be heard;
●
What you hear is called
loudness.
●
Pitch is the sound of high
and low sound that a
person hears.
●
Frequency is the number
of vibrations per second.
●
Intensity is the amount of
energy in a sound wave.
●
God wants us to use
the gift of sound to
praise him.

Light
John 12:46
I have come into the
world as a light, so that
no one who believes in
me should stay in
darkness.
● Jesus is the light of
the world. He wants
us to be the light as
Christians and share
His story.
● White light is all the
colors of the rainbow
put together.
● Violet has a short
wavelength.
● Orange has a log
wavelength.
● There are many
different kids of light,
the light in your home
and X-rays.
