 Give kudos to someone in your network who is in the news. I use
http://www.newsle.com to track when connections are in the news.
 Highlight a connection who wrote a great blog post. A way to give
recognition and share at the same time on LinkedIn.
 Congratulation someone on a promotion or new Job. More visible than
an Email
 Give a shout out to people you are speaking on a panel with. A great
way to communicate event and builds credibility

4.  Thank colleagues you completed a project with. You can also add this to
the projects section.
 Respond to someone who commented in a status update and keep the
discussion going.
 Show appreciation to a company or person who provided you with great
service. Of course, don’t forget to use recommendations
 Highlight peers you are looking forward to connecting with at an
upcoming conference.
 Mention someone who is in an appropriate work related video.
