Preparation and research <ul><li>Research – find all the pages you want your students to use </li></ul><ul><li>Create a list of the URLs </li></ul><ul><li>Go to http://www.google.com and register for a Google account. Sign in now. </li></ul><ul><li>Go to http://www.google.com/coop/ to create your Search engine. </li></ul>

Specify Search Engine Settings <ul><li>List the URLs of all the sites you want to include in your search engine, one URL per line. </li></ul><ul><li>Choose whether to search only your listed sites , or whether to search the whole web, but to emphasize those sites . </li></ul><ul><li>Choose whether you want to allow ads (don’t) </li></ul><ul><li>Put a checkmark that you’ve read and agree to the Terms of Service </li></ul><ul><li>Click Next </li></ul>

Give the URL of that search engine to your students to use in their work </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Control Panel – takes you back to step 3 in this slide show, where you indicated the settings for your Search Engine. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Statistics – displays in graph format the usage frequency for your search engine. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Delete – deletes your search engine. </li></ul></ul>
