  2. 2. Be Newsworthy Be Newsworthy. Is there anything happening in your business that you can tie to recent events? If so, share it with the media through a press release. If opportunity doesn’t knock, create a door -- If there’s nothing happening in your company that you can tie to a recent news event, create a story that is newsworthy and tell the world about it.
  3. 3. Press Releases Include press releases in your marketing campaign on a regular basis. The key to gaining expert and celebrity status is to keep you and your company in front of the media consistently which results in obtaining maximum exposure.
  4. 4. A Memorable Domain Name Have a memorable domain name. Make it easy for potential customers to find you and learn more about your product or service and share the information with their friends. If they can’t remember your website name you’re making it difficult for them to reach you.

Create a media room that includes such information as your biography, photos, speaking topics and other media coverage you’ve received.
