5. Prerequisites for Beneficiaries
• The beneficiary should be literate enough to solve basic mathematics
• The beneficiary should ideally have at least a basic phone with basic
internet connectivity and knowledge of how to operate it
• The beneficiary should have a bank account in at least one of the
recognized banks
Good to have:
• A debit card from the bank
6. Prerequisites for Volunteers and training
• Volunteers need to carry their own smartphones when visiting
beneficiaries
• Volunteers need to be completely aware and comfortable with at
least one option from among the tools mentioned earlier
• Volunteers need to train only on those tools in which
they think they are most comfortable
• Volunteers must remain with their beneficiaries
through open transactions, in order to ensure
they are completed properly
7. Parameters of Success
• The beneficiary needs to feel in total control and completely
comfortable of his/her money while using at least one of the cashless
modes of transactions
• The process to be made completely sustainable for beneficiary and
his /her family to start using the cashless systems

9. About the Curriculum
The Curriculum gives an in-detail, step by step process to make people
comfortable with all of the cashless transaction tools
• The curriculum will start with a basic video to sensitize both volunteers and
beneficiaries on how easy the transactions can be introducing everyone to
the cashless tools
• This will be followed by an interactive slide based session on where can the
tool be used and what problems does it solve
• This will be followed by a step by step process for registration and usage of
the tool
• Last section will be about the FAQs that may come up for each tool

• Can I go for a different eWallet than Paytm?
You are free to use any eWallet you like and most of the functionalities are the same
• Can I transfer money from one eWallet to another?
You can transfer the money to your bank account and then transfer it to another eWallet but
currently there is no way to directly transfer it from one eWallet to another
• If I transfer money back to my bank, is there a fees attached to it?
If you want to transfer the money back to the same account it came from, then no fees is
charged. Although, if you have received it from someone else, and then transfer it to your
account, a 2% fees is charged. Eg: if you receive Rs. 100 from your friend and want to now transfer
them to your bank, only Rs. 98 will be sent to your bank and Rs. 2 will be deducted as service
charges.
• Is there a limit to transactions on eWallets?
Yes, every wallet will have a per month usage limit. For Paytm, it is Rs. 20,000
• My daughter works in Dubai, can I ask her to send money from there through this?
If she has an Indian bank account, she can link that account with her ewallet and send it to you.
But if you want to send money to someone abroad, this payment system will not be useful.
