Project Description <ul><li>The church will encourage its members to donate their excess high quality furniture, clothing, and household items to the licensee thrift store. </li></ul>Thrift Stores document donations given on behalf of each individual church. A “Licensee Store Credit” is issued to the respective church for donations made on their behalf.

Project Description <ul><li>Credit amount is based upon a point allocation system. </li></ul><ul><li>Points are assigned based on category, condition and </li></ul><ul><li>quality of the donation received. </li></ul>Example: A nice couch = 100 points New blouse = 10 points, etc. Every 1,000 points is worth $100.00 gift certificate.
  6. 6. Project Description <ul><li>The individual church can then give away the Licensee Store gift cards equal to their credit accumulated. </li></ul>The approved recipient of the Licensee Store gift card may then shop at the store location of their choice.
  7. 7. <ul><li>Increase donations to all thrift store locations by </li></ul><ul><li>encouraging giving out of conscience rather than </li></ul><ul><li>convenience. </li></ul>Thrift Store Benefits To engage the church in ministry of helping the poor and homeless through additional profits available to the rescue mission. Expanded thrift store customer base.

Program Benefits to the Church. <ul><li>Engage the church in the ministry of helping the needy </li></ul><ul><li>in their community through donations and volunteerism. </li></ul>Provide an opportunity where the local church can meet the numerous request from it’s members for furniture, clothing or house-ware items. Use the distribution of furniture, house wares, and clothing as tool for spreading the message of Jesus Christ.

The overall effectiveness will be evaluated based on projected substantial increases in donations and subsequent increases in store sales.
