What to do <ul><li>Follow the instructions on your white briefing sheets </li></ul><ul><li>You have this lesson and next lesson to work in class and two homework's (today's and next weeks) to complete this work </li></ul><ul><li>It is due on the 7 th of October 2005 </li></ul><ul><li>To gain an effort grade one, you will include everything that you need to and present your trek well </li></ul><ul><li>To reach beyond you need to show you understand the difference between human and physical features and show you understand why people would want to visit these places. </li></ul><ul><li>You must also show you are aware what you will need to take with you to each place and that you understand how varied South America is </li></ul>

Today:- <ul><li>In your groups </li></ul><ul><li>Decide which person will do which country </li></ul><ul><li>Give out relevant sheet to each person </li></ul><ul><li>Decide how you will present your trek to the class on the 7 th </li></ul><ul><li>Decide who your trek will be for (older people, school children, families) </li></ul><ul><li>In each country you must visit a human feature, physical feature and say what each are and why. Say what clothes and equipment you will need (check the BBC weather forecast) </li></ul>
  17. 17. Each trek must include all of these <ul><li>A visit to as many countries as there are group members. You must visit Brazil! </li></ul><ul><li>An itinerary (outline of your journey, how long you will spend in each place </li></ul><ul><li>Details of all travel arrangements (e.g. flights) </li></ul><ul><li>A map showing your route around south America </li></ul><ul><li>A presentation of your trek to the class in 2 weeks </li></ul>

For each country you should have <ul><li>A list of equipment you will need including clothes </li></ul><ul><li>An outline of what the weather will be like (BBC website) </li></ul><ul><li>A presentation of the places you will visit and why ( must include one city and one natural/physical feature e.g. river/lake) </li></ul><ul><li>A diary or log of the trip round that country (interesting things, strange creatures etc) </li></ul>
