  • Because social media has without a doubt changed the world. It’s so much bigger then marketing. The only problem is that it’s becoming so all encompassing it’s kind of hard to wrap your head around. The reason we care is because it’s presenting us with OPPORTUNITY. Opportunities to innovate. Opportunities to communicate with each other or consumers in new ways. Opportunitiies to share information or collaborate. Opportunities to create ideas that become revolutions. If that doesn’t do it for you then there is one other reason. IT’s BIG. REALLY BIG.
  • It’s ridiculously big and only getting bigger. There are also huge players out there that are easy to forget. Communities congregration in unique ways like the Chinese BBS.
  • It’s also status updates and geo tagging and content tagging and everything. It’s our collective communal intelligence.
