About Paradigm IT (Contd.)Management Team (Geospatial Division) Ravi George, Founder, Managing Director & Chairman Ravi has over 35 years of experience in India and overseas in civil and structural design, project management and construction. He is a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, and the UK and American Society of Civil Engineers. Ravi has done M Tech in Structural Engineering from IIT, Madras in 1973. Tom Vansteelandt, Technical Director (GIS) Master (1991) in Structural Engineering from HoGent, Ghent, Belgium. In 1995 Tom became the Managing Director of Vansteelandt BVBA (Belgium) – a company specializing in advanced survey and GIS services. He was instrumental in starting the GIS/Geographical department at Paradigm in 1997 and has been contributing to the department ever since. Ravindra Kumar, Director (Geospatial) Ravindra has over 20 years experience in the field of GIS / Remote Sensing and Cartography. Ravindra has earlier worked with Bihar Remote Sensing Application Center as a Scientist. He has done M Sc (Geography) from Jabalpur University in 1986. Ravindra currently heads geospatial division and steer business expansion in geospatial vertical at Paradigm.

Mobile Mapping of Major Cities in BelgiumClient: A global leader in surveying and engineeringObjective:To produce high accuracy 3d mapping of Road features, Buildings, Street lights, Trees,Manholes, Sign Boards, etc.Key Activities :• Pre-processing of the data received.• Dividing the zone according to the boundary.• Digitizing the Buildings, Roads, Street lights, Manholes, Other Street objects using Visat Station.• Conversion of Visat files to CAD file and combining of digitized file with House Number/Street name file.Benefits :• Gives general map with information that is useful for different utilities, for exampleuseful for gas company, electrical company etc.• Can produce extremely accurate, pervasive, current, accessible, readily analyzed, andreadily visualized 3D street-level data.

LiDAR Data Processing of European CitiesClient: A global leader in surveying and engineering solutionsObjective:To provide accurate model & map for transmission lines, allowing utility to measure the shapeof the ground below the transmission line, the position of the towers and poles, the sag onthe wires, and the up-growth of any vegetation incursions or other possibly illegal incursionsinto the right of way.Key Activities :• Man made and geographical features are digitized using LiDAR data in flip7 software. Ortho images were sent by the client for identification of features.• Digitized wires are used to prepare input files which is used by the client to prepare sag value of wires which is due to temperature, wind and self weight.• Final Microstation files which contains LP,GP and cadaster in the sheet(GBLEV).Benefits :• LiDAR technology has demonstrated that speed, high resolution and accuracy arebenefits that can be used for transmission power line assessment• LiDAR is an effective tool that dramatically improves the efficiency of the currentworkflow used by power line companies.
